My name is Janak Tull. I am a dentist by day. I acquired my undergraduate degree in fine arts. I focused my studies in screen printing and my art history minor in Japanese woodblock printing. I believe that trading cards are the modern manifestation of Japanese woodblock prints. I work my best to print the most beautiful trading cards in the world as an homage to the great history and tradition of Japanese woodblock printing. I am the developer and creator of Kaizoku Kards - and here I would like to introduce you to my artists.

HZ19 Art

HZ19 won the first ever Johku DMD One Piece YouTube giveaway before the release of OP01 in Japan. Since winning that contest he continued developing his art skills and formed a strong bond with Janak over creativity, art, passion, and the dream to make beautiful shiny kards. HZ19 excels in creating powerful dynamic classic One Piece style compositions. When the stars align he also produces amazing original art. HZ19 and Janak are constantly working in the background to figure out how to take Kaizoku Kards to the next level.

Yoshi K

Yoshi K is a 3D graphics designer and illustrator. He has a passion for trading card games. He made a few designs that he posted to his social media that got my attention and I immediately fell in love and reached out to him to begin working together. He creates impressive illustrations referencing styles used by the game art designers and composites them with relevant references from the story. Yoshi K and Johku work together regularly to figure out ways to push the limits of card design and produce powerful pieces that change the way the viewer interacts with the media.

A master of complex simplicity - thomdrower uses a style called grid drawing. He creates extremely flat and simple appearing images that have perspective depth and movement by using a dynamic bubbly relationship of scales and distortions. His compositions are always immediately powerful, but on the surface very simple. The longer you look at them the more you start to realize how alive and dynamic they really are.
